Meet Athena - Your Sun-Bathing, Splash-Loving Best Friend!

At just 4 months old and about 28 lbs, Athena is the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet snuggle buddy. She's growing fast, so expect her to get a bit bigger, but her heart is already enormous.

Personality & Temperament:
Athena is a gentle giant in the making. She absolutely adores kids--she's been around little ones ages 1, 2, and 3 and has been loving, patient, and respectful. She also gets along well with other dogs, both big and small (though she can be a bit reserved with tiny dogs because of her size). After playtime, she transforms into a couch potato who's happy to snooze by your side.

Smart & Eager to Learn:
This girl is very easy to train and already knows sit, paw, and stay. She's highly food motivated (especially if chicken is involved), which makes teaching her new things a breeze.

Ideal Home:
Athena loves the outdoors and is a major water enthusiast--she would happily splash around all day if she could. While she's polite and calm with grandparents and kids, she needs a family who will give her daily outdoor playtime. Apartment life could work if you're active and committed to regular adventures and exercise.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.

Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.
