Hi, my name is Athena. I'm a sweet girl, who is estimated to be 9 years old and weigh about 45 pounds. I was surrendered to the shelter, because I have separation anxiety when left alone and will try to escape from everything to be with my owners. Therefore, I would do best in a home with someone around most of the time. My owners said I've been with kids and other dogs and love them all. I am also house trained and love car rides. Since my stay here, I have been a bit shy. However, the wonderful people I've met here at the shelter have helped me come out of my shell and become the friendly, beautiful girl you see today. I have participated in play groups, where I like hanging out with other dogs and can handle the younger, more energetic dogs. In spite of my age, I am full of spunk and am looking for a peaceful, loving home to retire in. For more information or to set up an appointment to meet me, please call the Jackson County Animal Shelter at 541-774-6654. My adoption fee is $95, plus $25 for an annual dog license, if you live in Jackson County.
