Arrival Story: Astro, along with Orbit, found together as strays and landed at Macomb County Animal Control where shelter life was taking its toll. We got them out, expecting them to be a bonded pair but both are flourishing in separate foster homes now.

Approximate Age/Weight: 2 years and 55 lbs.

Personality: Astro is outgoing and loves to play and run and shred a few toys for fun! He enjoys a great game of fetch, too. He has a more independent personality, is food-motivated and walks nicely on a leash. Astro has attended doggy daycare and enjoys the company of other dogs. Partial to the great outdoors, he’d love to go on adventures, climb rocks, jump over logs, walk the trails, with his new person/fam.

Astro is still getting used to riding in cars and is good at the vet’s office. Too interested in small dogs and cats to live with permanently.

Forever home: A quieter home is best for Astro. He's a playful, independent boy who seeks humans with the same mentality to share life with. Sharing his new home with a confident resident dog is a must. An apartment setting would not suit Astro. **No electric fences, please.
