Asti belonged to this owner's mother until health issues made Asti impossible to keep so her son took her temporarily. Hi! I am Asti and my bubbly and contagious smile lights up any room I trot into! I am 7 years old and 36 lbs, and spayed. I have an adorable howl that will make your heart melt. I will make you laugh for sure! For fun, I love to go out for walks on leash and I love to play fetch! I even release the ball when you ask me to! I know how to sit and shake. I really enjoy belly rubs!
There is one thing you should know about me. I am diabetic and I require two shots of insulin per day. I have my own special food that I eat but I also enjoy eating green beans as treats. As you can see, I require extra special care, but I promise to be cuddly with you and I will make all of this extra care worth it for you.

I do okay around other dogs in social settings but initially I may be nervous. I have never been around cats so I don’t know how I would react to one in the house. I definitely need to be in a home with no kids because their energy levels scare me and I don’t understand it. Are you the right one for me? I can’t wait to meet you!”

On a side note, the owner has provided all her glucose numbers since his mom had her and what he's been giving her since August when she came into their home. She requires two pricks in her ear (one in the morning and one at dinner) and we have the lancets/strips/reader. Her insulin is $26 at Walmart (Novolin N). She normally takes 6-7 units of insulin per dose. She also gets eye cream once a day because her tear ducts are drier than a normal dog’s is. Asti is in Appleton, WI
