Meet Ashley! Ashley is a beautiful 6 year old, 66 pound pure bred Rottweiler! She came from horrible conditions into a high intake shelter in West Virginia. Due to her neglect, Ashley is quite skinny and does need to put on a few pounds.

When Ashley came to HART, we were told she does well with other dogs but after being in a foster home, she really didn’t like the resident dogs, especially the females. However, she did submit to the alpha male in the house. She thrives when she’s an only dog and would be best in a home that way. Ashley knows sit, lay down and come! She’s eager to please when there’s food involved. She LOVES car rides and being able to stick her head out the window! Ashley often doesn’t realize her size and wants to lay on your lap and get all of the loving and snuggles!

Ashley did test positive for a tick borne disease that is curable with antibiotics. Due to the disease, she is anemic and will need to wait for about a month to be spayed. Therefore, we would like her to be placed locally in a foster to adopt home.

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks.
