Medications/Injuries: Ash is very healthy. She came to us with medication to help reduce stress. She may not need any medication in a quiet & supportive house.
Good with people? Ash absolutely adores her people! She’s very affectionate & sooo sweet! She loves belly rubs & couch time. She will relax in her crate or in her dog bed nearby. She greets you at the door with lots of kisses & tail wags. She’s happy all day long. She is working on not jumping, but that’s getting better.
Children? Tested with an 11 year old, & she was the happiest she’s ever been ~ zoomies & all! She was less enthusiastic about a 1 year old & would not do very well in a house with very young children.
Dogs? Ash will need to be an only dog in the home. But she takes walks in the neighborhood alongside dogs that she’s been introduced to & with handlers who know her well. She is not good about meeting new dogs while walking & shows some reactiveness. But with a slow introduction, she really loves to play & she’ll hang out with familiar dogs.
Cats? Not sure
Other animals? She’s a little curious when seeing squirrels & birds on a walk, but can be redirected.
House trained? yes, Ash has been amazing ~ no accidents at all, even when left alone. She will let you know when she needs to go out. But she likes to hang-out out back on warm & sunny days.
Crate trained? Ash will relax in her crate when her family is home. She settles in for longer time periods when she has to be crated. Would probably do well with a bone to occupy her when in the crate.
Energy level: Medium to low but she can be excitable & jumps a little when there is a lot of activity in the house. She would do well with someone who can be home some of the time ~ even work from home. Ash really loves to be near her people, she feels content & happy ~ little snuggles & kisses all through the day. She doesn’t need a lot of play or attention, she just likes to be close.
Travel well? Ash LOVES car rides! She jumps in, lays down & happily stays in the back seat. She doesn’t even drool at the window, perfectly content. She’ll always be happy about a pup cup!
Favorite toy/activity: Ash loves walks, car rides, time out back, cuddles on the couch & treats. She likes to play fetch for a few minutes & sometimes plays with a stuffy. She does love her kong with peanut butter too.
Leash trained? Yes, but she needs work. She is a very quick learner & motivated by training treats. She would do really well with a family willing to spend some time working with her.
Fence Required? She does great on a lead & doesn’t need much more. She usually only wants to be outside when her family is out there.

Ash is the perfect companion dog! She can be laid back & sweet or active & adventurous, but always happy & lovable! She is so smart & a very quick learner. She caught on very quickly to learning “leave it” & “come,” with just a small amount of training. Ash would love a family that enjoys her quirky, loving puppiness & adorable nature.
