Ash (formerly Gabriel) had a long stay at Downey Animal Care Center after being found as a stray on December 30, 2024. Unlike most dogs who are placed on the euthanasia list within ten days, Ash’s lovable nature kept him safe until late February. But time was running out—until we stepped in to save him. Within just 24 hours of being rescued, he’s already proving why he’s so special!

Ash is a total sweetheart. He’s house- and crate-trained, kid-friendly, and incredibly gentle when taking treats. He has a low-energy, easygoing personality and needs only minimal exercise, making him a great fit for a laid-back household. He’s also treat-motivated and already knows sit, spin, and up—and with his foster being an experienced dog trainer, he’s only going to get more perfect!
