Arpeggio Hound & Pointer Mix Lenoir, NC

This litter of musical expressions was turned in to Animal Control as strays. Although they bark when excited to greet their foster mom, they're surprisingly quiet puppies.

With a guesstimated birthday in March 2022, we anticipate these pups will be medium size, possibly 40 - 50 lb.

All of these babies are snuggly and sweet. They're active and healthy with happy puppy noises, but not obnoxious barking - unless a strange dog comes around. They don't seem to mind the horse that lives next door.

While the rest of her siblings are stocky, Arpeggio is super model slender. She has long legs and a lean build. She's fast, too! Her cornering abilities are suited for an Indy race car road course.

Arpeggio is very affectionate to her foster mom, and loves to play with the pup-tolerant adults. She is willing to let them be the boss to get them to wrestle with her.

Arpeggio crates at night without a peep and waits to use the bathroom until her foster mom gets up in the morning. She plays with the foster dog pack in the kitchen, in case of accidents, and can wait to go out for about 3 hours. A potty break shortly after meals is recommended for any puppy.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we usually have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. Requirement is a minimum three year vet history documenting current / previous pets are spayed / neutered, kept up to date on core vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. We suggest first time pet owners without a vet history look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience. Other rescues or your local government-run animal control agency may have different adoption requirements.

Adoption fee covers two vaccinations. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply.

We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We receive no funding from agencies.

Not all foster dogs are available for viewing during public events at Tractor Supply (360 Blowing Rock Blvd) in Lenoir, NC. Available animals can be seen most Saturdays at Tractor Supply in Lenoir from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We recommend interested parties contact us to pre-qualify for adoption so their new furry family can go home once paperwork is complete.
