Arlo is ready to share his story! ?

Hello Hello! Are you looking for a lovable, happy, and silly pup?! If so, you have found me! My name is Arlo and I am a 3-month-old, 28 male Great Pyrenees mix. I am not sure what my mix is. I could have some Collie in me, or maybe be mixed with some Anatolian Shepherd. Whatever my mix, I sure am one adorable pup!

I know you came here to hear my story, so here it is!
It all started when I was just a babe. Well, a smaller one than I am now. I was cute, lovable, and everyone wanted me. But the family that took me was not prepared to keep me forever. They ended up abandoning me, and before I knew it I found myself in the shelter. It was more like a pound really. Very small and had little foot traffic. That meant that after my stray hold was up, I was put on the urgent list. Thankfully, someone there reached out to this rescue. After they heard about me, I became part of their fluffy butt family shortly after!

Now that I am in a foster home and about to get my final vetting with the rescue, it is time to find my forever family!

I am on the search for my forever family. And when I say forever I mean forever. So, only consider adopting me if you can promise me forever NO MATTER WHAT! If you cannot, then please don't take me away from another family that can.

The first step is to fill out an adoption app for me at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app
Once this app comes in, it will get sent on to my foster family and they will help me decide if we are a match or not.

-Where are you being fostered?
I am being fostered in Skiatook, OK.

-Would I need to come to pick you up?
Yes, you would need to pick me up. This rescue does not send us on transports. It is less stress on us that way. Plus, you and I can already start bonding on the road trip home! ?

-Can I adopt you even though I don't live in Oklahoma?
Yep, I am not opposed to living in another state!

-How do you act when meeting new people?
I like meeting new people. After all, it means more attention for me! :)

-What is your personality like?
Pretty chill but I do like to play.

-Do you jump on people?
No.

-Do you enjoy going places?
I have not been anywhere yet since I am not fully vaccinated yet. I am thinking I would do well, though.

-Do you enjoy walks?
I will walk on a leash but haven’t been for any long walks yet.

-Are you leash trained?
Yes.

-How do you do on car rides?
I ride well.

-Can you be trusted with free-roam of the house when no one is home?
Possibly but I am young.

-Where do you stay when no one is home?
In a kennel.

-Where do you sleep at night?
In my foster family's bedroom in a kennel.

-Are you a big chewer?
No.

-Are you potty trained?
Mostly.

-Are you kennel trained?
Yes.

-Do you like to play fetch?
No.

-Do you like to play in the water?
No.

-Do you play with toys?
A little bit, I do not seem to be overly crazy about them.

-Would you do okay living in an apartment?
Eh. If I received lots of attention and wasn’t left alone in an apartment for long, probably.

-Are you a big barker?
No, but I do have a big bark. I usually only use it when a stranger walks up.

-Are you good with other dogs?
Yes.

-How do you act with other dogs around?
I fit right in with them!

-Are you good with cats?
Yes.

-Are you good with kids?
Yes, I am good with kids of all ages.

-Have you shown any signs of food aggression with other animals?
No.

-Have you tried to resource guard anything?
No.

-Can I hear what your foster has to say about you?
"Arlo is such a smart and easy-going puppy. He just seems to know what he is supposed to do. If he needs to go to the crate, ok he’ll go to the crate. Want to go outside, ok he’ll go outside. Want to sit on the couch and watch tv, ok he’ll sit on the couch with you. He’s definitely the kind of dog that you can take anywhere with you. He just understands what he’s supposed to do and how to fit in"

-What are you looking for in your new family?

I believe I would fit in amazingly well with just about any family. I am eager to please and take direction well. Another dog to play with would be awesome. If my owner was home all day, I would also be happy as an only dog! I have done great with everyone I have met, both animals and people! You will not find a pup with a better temperament than me! ;)

-How much is your adoption fee?
My adoption fee is $275.

That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
