Meet Aries
Hi, my name is Aries! Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Silly, affectionate
-Can Live with Kids: Yes, Aries has lived with kids previously and should do well with kids around 8 years and up!
-Can Live with Cats: Aries does have a prey drive so we would recommend a cat-free household.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, he lived with dogs successfully in the past and also does well in playgroups here at the shelter.
-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended due to energy levels.
-Potty Trained: Seems to be!
-Bite History: None
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required at this time.
-Energy Level: High!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No, ready to go!
-Additional Information: Aries is a love bug who is looking for his new best forever friend! Unfortunately Aries was surrendered to the shelter because his previous owner was having to move into housing that just was not fit for Aries. For his new home he would love plenty of room to roam - a fenced in yard is always a plus! He is a bit of an escape artist, so we would not recommend leaving him outside unattended. He would also really enjoy it if his person was not gone for too long during the day since he has a bit of separation anxiety. Although Aries is not known to howl or bark when his best friend leaves, he does start to chew anxiously on things. Separation anxiety is easily maintained by positive reward training, crating when needed, and plenty of affection and time. Also, you may find that once you get to know Aries, you may get separation anxiety yourself because he is such a joy to be around! If you'd like to meet this fluffy guy please fill out an application to be reviewed!
