Meet Ariel! This spirited 8-month-old Jack Russell Terrier has already overcome a tough start to life, having been abandoned at the Texas border. Despite her rocky beginning, Ariel’s bright personality and boundless energy shine through.
True to her breed, Ariel is playful, intelligent, and full of spunk. She loves to explore, learn new tricks, and snuggle up after a day of fun. Ariel is looking for an active and loving family who will give her the guidance and affection she deserves.

As an adoption fee-based rescue, we do not operate on monthly support or fund raisers. Our adoption fee of $650 covers transport, which is arranged post-adoption, and is tax-deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Should you wish to arrange your own transport, the adoption fee remains the same. Thank you for your valuable support.
Operation Barking Squirrel rescue in Texas that partners with transport companies that travel to your area at least 1x a month. Texas is the #1 euthanasia state in the US, so it is important that we work with our partnerships to get our pups adopted out of state.
Our adoption fee includes everything your new pet needs for a healthy start in your home. This covers all necessary vaccinations, current months preventatives for heartworms, and other parasites (Heart Guard) fleas, ticks, (Next Guard) , and rabies shots (age requirement) We spay or neuter unless they are too young. Each pet is fitted with a lifetime microchip for safety and identification.
