Archie Terrier & Schnauzer Mix Long Beach, CA

Courtesy post: Meet, Archie! This handsome boy is the dream dog for an introvert or someone who just likes to live a quieter life. Archie needs a little time to get to know new people but once he lets you into his inner circle, he’ll be your best friend, your loving companion, your perfect excuse to leave the party early. ;)

Archie is 36lbs, and medium height. The perfect size really. Small enough to curl up with you for a good cuddle, and just big enough to be your protective walking partner. Speaking of walks… Do you like to do trail walks? Archie loves trail walks! He’s also equally happy with a stroll around the neighborhood and a few rounds of couch-fetch (you sit on the couch, he’ll bring you the ball or toy to throw for him). Basically, he can be pretty versatile. While Archie loves to be with you, he isn’t a velcro dog and will happily entertain himself with a toy to give you space when you need it. Like we said, versatile.

Archie is housetrained, crate trained , and his leash training has been coming along beautifully, especially when using a Halti head harness. Archie has made several canine friends so he would do well in a home with another well matched canine companion but he’s also happy as an only dog. Archie can be unsure around strangers and new places, so he is looking for a patient committed adopter who will continue with the work he’s already started. Someone who will be his advocate and help him live his best life! Archie's foster, and all of his friends at K9 Kismet agree, this boy is worth it so, we will be there to offer support to Archie and his adopter as his transitions into his new home.
