Meet Archie! Archie is a 2 year old 100 lb Great Pyrenees mix who is high energy, and dog friendly. He requires an active home that has experience owning/handling working/guardian breeds. Archie has a full knowledge and understanding of basic obedience, walks well on a leash and loves to hear you call him a "Good Boy!"
Archie currently attends doggy daycare routinely. He requires a home with other dogs and a fenced in yard. As a large maturing boy Archie's body is not the only thing growing! So is his confidence and pride which need support through consistent training. Archie rarely guards but he is paternal and prone to policing other dogs by growling and appropriately correcting his canine friends.
If Archie is not exercised daily he can become anxious when crated. Leash walking is necessary for establishing and building a healthy rapport with this big boy, especially early on in a new placement/home. Restrictive boundary setting inside and outside the home is essential with guard/guardian breeds like Great Pyrenees to control territorial and over protective/aggressive behavior.
