Archie was choses for Foster Dog Summit. Please click here HEREto visit the blog.
Archie has been in a wonderful foster home in Windham, NH for the last few months and is Thriviing. He is such a happy, go lucky boy who loves Children. He attended the Petco adoption event last week in Concord where everyone who met him fell in love with him. Who could resist those velvety hound ears?
Archie is about 2-3 years young. He tested positive for light Heartworm when he came into the shelter, which would have been a death sentence in many shelters, but he was treated and is as good as new!
Archie loves to give and receive love, there isn't a more deserving boy.
Informaiton about Archie's arrival into the shelter below.
Arhie was a stray. He found his way to someone's house, very skinny and a collar that was way too tight. There were no tags on his collar, and he was not microchipped.. This beautiful, loving and handsome boy has already captured the hearts of the shelter volunteers.
He rides quietly and is very well behaved in a car, but he does tend to get car sick. Archie has gotten along with all the dogs he has met at the shelter.
Be sure to see his slide show below.

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning "pending adoption".
If this Dog is marked Urgent, it is because the Arkansas shelter where he/she resides is overfull. **Please do not ask local shelters to take this dog in, there are many reasons why they cannot.** Please also do not send us letters about why we euthanize, AHR does not euthanize, but the shelters we work with do. We are a rescue and we pull as many dogs as we have foster homes and funds for. We, like the shelter, do not have unlimited resources. Please, please: foster, adopt or sponsor a dog to help save their lives.
. We pay a Transportation Service from Arkansas to bring the dogs to New England. The adoption fee is $350 for dogs through 6 months of age, $300 for dogs 7 months-5 years, and $275 for dogs 6 years and older; (for bonded pairs: $250.00/per dog). This includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/erlichea test, worming and for imported dogs: transport on a USDA approved transport with a Health Certificate. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to leaving Arkansas. Almost Home Rescue will process your adoption.
