Archer Pit Bull Terrier Mix Warrenville, IL

Archer is a happy-go-lucky one-year-old pup with the most beautiful eyes ever! He was brought to Animal Control in March with severe neck wounds due to an embedded collar. Since then, his neck has almost completely healed, and if it weren't for his funny haircut, you probably couldn’t tell that anything traumatic had ever happened to him! His attitude certainly doesn’t give it away either… He is a happy, affectionate guy who doesn’t let his rough past bring him down!

Because he is still finishing his healing process, he has not been cleared to get too rough with other dogs yet, but he loves seeing his foster siblings through a baby gate! He hasn’t been formally introduced to any cats, but his foster family plans to set up an intro once he can be securely leashed!

He currently lives with an 8-month-old child and he loves to give him kisses and nibble his toes. Archer happily goes in his crate in exchange for a treat and is quite good once inside, though he does get jealous of his foster siblings roughhousing without him! (Who wouldn’t?)

Archer loves tennis balls and will bring it back to the thrower every single time! When he finally tires of chasing balls, he is also a cuddly dude and is entirely convinced he was born to be a lap dog. He loves going on car rides, especially when we stop at Starbucks for a puppuccino!
