April Labrador Retriever & Mastiff Mix Aurora, IL

Hi, my name is April and I am a 90 lb 1 year old lab/mastiff mix. I was told by the doctor that I am not done growing yet. I should be full grown at about 15 months and should gain about 10 more pounds. I do not know my size right now so a house with small children would not be best for me. I am potty trained but I have had a couple accidents. I love to run and play in my foster parents back yard with the three dogs that live with me. A yard with a 6 foot fence would be my best bet as I love to chase the squirrels, rabbits and birds. I am learning how to walk on a leash and each day I am getting better and better.

I will definitely need to be in a home where someone will be able to continue my training. I am nippy when I play with toys with the other dogs and humans in the house. I am housebroken and I do use a crate when no one is home but I don’t really care for it. I don’t really know what it means to cuddle and be loved on by my foster family. Hopefully soon I will learn what this is. I hate for my feet to be touched; my foster mom is working with me on it every day.

I can be stubborn when it comes to most things. I just need someone with some patience and willing to train me and I will be an amazing girl. I would love to have a family of my own.
