Meet April
APRIL IS IN FOSTER !!!!
April is a dog who has too much zest for life to still be waiting for her forever home. While staying at Adopt-a-Dog, she has overcome a multitude if fear based behaviors with humans to emerge as a dog with a sweet and goofy sociability with humans and enjoys the company of other dogs as well. She has recently been meeting and taking car trips and hikes with new folks, buddy walking and playing with some suitable canine friends and it is her time to continue her life in an experienced foster home where she can get a chance for a permanent home. In the past, April has shown resource guarding with certain items so we need her to be in a adult only home with some experience managing and working with this- We have never had a problem with it and she is responding amazing to fear-free, force-free methods of training. Her potential is sky-high with some patience and understanding.
As with all our long-timers, any foster will have full support of our behavior team to acclimate her properly out of a kennel and into a home.
