Meet Apple Connie

This beautiful, sophisticated lady is named Apple Connie. Apple has become an instant favorite here at the rescue, shes an exceptionally loving and social girl on a mission to make best friends of us all. Shes simply irresistible!

We think Apple is a bulldog mix of some sort, with her squishy bulldog face and her squatty little bulldog body. We estimate her age to be around 4 years old. She currently weighs in at a highly cuddle-able 38 pounds.

Apple is a total lovebug, so naturally she has spent every moment of her time in rescue loving on all of her new human friends. On walks, Apple loves to greet people and dogs alike. She loves to show her affection by way of kisses, and she asks for pets whenever she sees her opportunity. Apple is such a good girl, working hard on her good dog skills- she doesnt have accidents in the house, here at the rescue she is good in her crate, and shes learning to walk on leash! Shes so people-focused and affection driven that training her is fairly easy and very rewarding. Shes also treat motivated and so gentle when she takes treats.

With other dogs, Apple is playful and fun loving, friendly and sweet. Here at the rescue, shes a little less playful with our big and rowdy dogs. She says hey, slow down, I have short little legs! She would likely do best with a playmate around her size and of a low to moderate energy level. Here at the rescue, Apple has been cat tested. She was not at all interested in our house cat Tom, so we say shes cat tolerant. She could likely live with dog savvy kitties. See her cat test for yourself in her video!

Apple is a total couch potato, with low to moderate energy and a serious love for snuggles. This girl would be a perfect little office dog, saying hi every once in a while, but mostly napping at your feet. She would be an amazing dog to take out and about, with her adorable looks and her charming personality. Shes also super tolerant and didnt mind being picked up or dressed up- Apple will absolutely dress up with you for Halloween!

Apples perfect home will have at least one loving human to call her own, but shes not too picky about the rest. Knowing Apple, it will surely be love at first sight when she meets her forever family. With any questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Apple with anything you need us to in order to ensure shes the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

Why adopt from Three Little Pitties?

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog youve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it!

Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dogs needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

It doesnt stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks:

30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.)
A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week)
One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan
70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
