Apollo is a quiet, affectionate boy who is looking for a new home. We (FFOCAS) are helping his current family find his forever home.

This loving 4-year-old pup is very chill, cuddly, and affectionate in the home. He enjoys his chew toys, is very food motivated and trainable, and does a great job of looking to his human for direction. When he meets a new person, he is instantly wiggly and ready to give kisses. :-) However, he does find toddlers a bit scary. (Hey, we've had a toddler, we understand!)

Apollo's family loves him very much, but they know that their home is not the best fit for him.

This lovey boy would prefer a home where he could have a fenced yard to relax and play in. On walks, he is most comfortable in a quiet area, so a home in a suburban or rural area might be best. The busy urban area he currently lives in is crowded with activity and other dogs, which can be a bit too much for Apollo.

To set Apollo up for success, his current family is looking for a home without other dogs or tiny kids (middle school and up should be good). We don't have any information on how Apollo might do with cats, so an adopter with kitties would need to be prepared to keep him separate from the kitties for several weeks to give pup and kitties the best chance of getting along. (We have guidelines to help with that.) They hope to find a home where someone would be home most of the time as Apollo might prefer not to be home by himself for long hours.

Apollo is not currently being crated, so his adopter should be ready to be flexible on that subject depending on what works for him.

Apollo is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative (and on monthly heartworm prevention). He is 4 years old, 45 lbs, and has no known health issues. The breed mix (pit bull/pointer) is a guess.
