Meet Apollo
This pretty boy is Apollo. He came to us as an owner surrender due to a change in the family dynamic and work schedules. Apollo is a happy, loving, energetic boy. He would love a family with lots of time to devote to helping him be the best dog he can be!
Apollo is available to foster with SGSDR, with the intent to adopt if you happen to fall in love (and we know you will). He does still need to be neutered, but the rescue will be taking care of that soon, as well as all preventative and annual vetting needs. Apollo is reported to be house and crate trained, but may need some time to acclimate to your home, new schedule, and unfamiliar environment. He has lived with children before and did great. He does well around other dogs and should be happy to have a canine companion after proper introductions.
Apollo has been spending the last several weeks with a professional trainer working on his leash manners and starting basic obedience. He is a high energy guy with drive and would be a dream come true for someone interested in dog sports, nose work, obedience, etc. He is NOT going to be happy as a couch potato, so interested parties need to have a plan for lots of exercise and mental enrichment.

Our Adoption Fees:

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $400
* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $350
* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program! Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:
(1) If your heart has a special place for the seniors, you can adopt a senior dog for the regular adoption fee of $350 and this becomes a perpetual fee. You can adopt another SGSDR senior dog at any time from us in the future at NO CHARGE.
(2) If you aren't sure about your future adoption capacity, you may adopt your SGSDR senior dog for a reduced adoption fee of $250.
