Hi, I'm Apex. I am a 3 year old 110 lb pure bred Dogo Argentino. I am extremely obedient and well-trained as well as very mellow - a true gentle giant. I am housebroken. I need to be the only dog in the home - I am currently up for adoption due to not getting along with the other dogs in my home. I do best with older children or in an adult only home - small/younger children make me nervous and are not the right energy for me. An adopter with prior experience with my breed would be a huge plus - as I am a little standoffish when I first meet new people. I have never been unfriendly or reactive but an experienced guarding breed owner would help ensure I am set up to succeed so I never have those issues in the future.

Apex is allergic to lamb and has environmental allergies that cause red bumps on him, but can be controlled with a cytopoint injection every 4-6 months and medicated shampoo.

Adoption requirements are as such:


Not a first time dog owner
No other pets
Prior large (similar) breed experience
No kids under 16
No apartments


Apex has to find his new forever home because he doesn't get along with the other dogs in the house.
