Meet Ansley the fetch queen

She's your glamping cutie, passenger princess, drive-thru babe, heart stealer everywhere she goes. Her name is Ansley, and she has her bags packed and loaded, ready to be cruisin' cute on Route 66. With those big brown eyes and that gorgeous brindle coat of hers, it's only natural that you find yourself already smitten over her. It was immediate for us too, so no judgment here! There is so much to love about Ansley, and if you have a list of boxes you want checked off when looking for a furry companion, she will probably check off 99% of them.

We believe Ansley to be an American Pit Bull Terrier mix. Estimated to be around 2 years old, Ansley weighs in at a snuggly 53 pounds. She is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed.
Ansley is the perfect combination of adventure buddy and cuddle queen. She'll chase the sunrise with you, then snooze in your lap by sunset. Always ready to match your energy—whether you're out exploring new places, crossing county lines, or just enjoying a quiet night in—she’s right there with you every step of the way. If you work from home, she’s perfectly content to entertain herself with a toy or chew bone, take a nap, and not cause any distractions. But the moment you're ready to go for a walk, play fetch in the backyard, or head out on a road trip, she’s already at the door. Ansley is her name, and fetch is her game! Truly, she's the best of both worlds.

Ansley is uber smart—but not in the high-energy, never-stop kind of way. She’s medium energy, prioritizes naps and snuggles, and has a wonderful ability to learn, solve puzzles, and read your cues. Our behavior team says she’d be a fantastic candidate for agility training. She’s food-motivated, takes treats gently, and is eager to please—the trifecta of trainability! Ansley already knows several commands like “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “down,” and “load up.” She’s crate trained, potty trained, and knows how to use a doggy door—bonus points for Ansley! She’s also great on a leash. She loves walks—the second she sees that leash in your hand, she’s wiggling with joy, pacing between you and the door with a huge smile that will guilt you into “accidental” walks. She's also an amazing tandem walker—after a quick sniff, she's ready to stroll side-by-side with almost any dog. If you’ve got a hiking crew, a run club, or dog-loving friends, Ansley is ready to join the adventure.

Social and friendly, Ansley is a people-lover to her core. She gets excited meeting new faces and makes friends everywhere she goes. We know we sound repetitive calling her a “travel buddy” and “passenger princess,” but it’s genuinely who she is! She’s incredible in the car. We joke that her slogan would be “drive-thru queen,” “highway honey,” or “cruise control cutie.” She adores car rides—short, long, and anything in between. Whether you’re heading to the corner store or crossing state lines, Ansley is happily riding shotgun, watching the world go by. She's the ultimate “adventure dog” and such a charmer that every outing becomes her own personal meet-and-greet. She doesn’t bark or go nuts when seeing dogs through the car window, and she waits patiently without getting antsy. Every so often, she’ll lean in for a little love—because that’s just her vibe.

Ansley is dog-friendly and does great with dogs both her size and much smaller. She previously lived with a tiny Chihuahua and met our 12-lb tester dog Mateo (a scruffy little guy). Mateo is used to meeting all kinds of dogs, and even he felt immediately at ease with Ansley. They shared space and affection peacefully. She wasn’t all up in his face either—just happily coexisting, entertaining herself with a toy, or relaxing. With dogs her size, she’s still chill but will engage in some fun play too. She enjoys the company of happy-go-lucky dogs who are tolerant of the occasional roughhousing but also know how to wind down.

Ansley would also be perfectly happy as your one and only. She doesn’t need another dog to feel secure or burn off energy—she’s confident, well-balanced, and adaptable. That said, she would prefer a home without cats.

Ansley is also great with kids ages 4, 5, 7, and 11. She loved spending time with 11-year-old Elijah! She was immediately comfortable around him and enjoyed running in the yard, playing fetch, doing agility obstacles, and practicing commands. After building a bond with Elijah, she met his little brother Kobe (4 years old) and their friend Eleanor (5 years old), and she did wonderfully. She gently took treats, responded to commands, and shared a few sneaky kisses. The more time she spent with the younger kids—especially with Elijah nearby—the more confident and relaxed she became. Elijah was fun, respectful of her space, predictable in his movements, and kept her brain and body engaged. She clearly adored him. Ansley would do best in a home with kids aged 7+, and with slower introductions, she can absolutely thrive around younger ones too.
Ansley’s dream home would have a big backyard for zoomies, space for fetch, and a sunny spot to lounge in (bonus points if there’s a kiddie pool!). She’d thrive with someone who has an active, outdoorsy lifestyle—she’s a “go anywhere, do anything” kind of dog. Brave, loyal, confident—your perfect travel buddy and road trip bestie. So, if you love camping, road tripping, and living life on the go, Ansley is hands down your girl.
Adopt Ansley and bring endless love, laughter, and adventure into your life!

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
