Meet Annie Oakley

Meet Annie Oakley! Annie is around 6 months old and looks like she has some Pointer or Heeler in her mix. In her foster home, she is learning house-training, crating training, and leash walking, and will need an adopter to continue that training. A social and busy girl, Annie is looking for an active home that wants an athletic dog to take places. She could easily join a home with other playful dogs, dog savvy cats, and/or kids 5+. Due to her excitable disposition, a fenced yard is preferred.

In addition, adopters should be home for the majority of the day (including post-pandemic) and have a positive reinforcement trainer picked out to enroll their dog with. Force-free training classes/sessions are required for all adopted dogs in order to set them and their new families up for success. Adopters should be prepared to also continue their dog's socialization and experiences with new people, places, and things, as well as expect to help them fine tune any previous training.

Her foster says, "Annie has been around several dogs and cats, and she is friendly. She gets excited and will jump occasionally. She does okay riding in the car but she does appear somewhat nervous at times. She needs someone that will spend time with her and allow her to get plenty of exercise. She loves to be outside and would do good with a fenced yard. She would do well with a puppy companion. She is absolutely the sweetest girl! She loves to be loved and to play."

She is available for direct adoption with an approved adopter in N Dartmouth, MA on May 7th. Please fill out an application at www.browndogcoalition.com/adoption as a first step.
