Meet Annie

Meet our sweet Annie!

Annie, our gorgeous 6 year old Lab Mix, has been in the shelter system for far longer than she deserves.

Look at how gorgeous she is! Annie has the most amazing light blue eyes imaginable. She is a stunning girl and she receives so many compliments on her beautiful looks!

Annie is a bit shy at first, but once you've earned her trust, she is yours forever! She greets her best friends with happy feet and even a little song!

As she begins to feel safe and loved here at the shelter, her playful side shines! Annie loves to romp and fetch and enjoys playing with her doggy friends! She has friends of all sizes, bigger and smaller than her! She is very skilled at adjusting her play style to match her friend’s!

The great thing about Annie is that although she loves to play, she equally loves lounging around and napping! This girl loves to cuddle and she loves to be cozy! She is so quiet in her cage and hardly makes a peep.

Annie's best volunteer friend takes her home on occasion. She says that Annie loves sleeping in the bed with her and cuddling on the couch under some blankets. She begins each night laying at the foot of the bed and then will slowly make her way up so that she is close enough to receive belly rubs! Smart girl!

Annie is an also a great car companion and walking buddy! She really enjoys going for walks and she is great on leash! She will occasionally get excited if a car or bicycle go by so some minor leash training could help with that!

Here is why we think Annie is being overlooked…..Annie has Copper Storage Syndrome, a condition that requires a special diet and daily medication—but don’t worry! Her symptoms are well-managed, and she’s just as happy, playful, and loving as any other pup. In fact, our volunteers love her so much that they’re willing to sponsor her food and medication when she gets adopted—all she needs is a family to take a chance on her and call her own!

With this incredible support, you’ll have everything you need to keep her healthy and thriving. All she truly wants is a home filled with love, stability, and plenty of belly rubs.

Think you can be the family that our sweet Annie has been waiting for?! Please reach out today!

Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps!

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
