Oh my sweet Annie girl...
Annie (approximately 63 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Louisiana where she had been patiently waiting for her forever home since February of 2024! This jet black beauty battled heartworm disease in Louisiana and was treated and cleared before heading up north. You'd think, a girl who has been through so much would be a little grumpy, or stressed, or untrusting...but not our Annie girl! This lovely, soft, sweet lady would like nothing more than to live in your skin. In fact, if you're a fan of an oversized sweater that has room enough for 2...Annie's your gal! If given the choice, she may choose humans over dogs; but she still appreciates a nice, calmly playful canine companion. It is unknown how she feels about little humans or felines, but she is a sensitive girl so slow introductions would be best. Our girl Annie is an all around love bug who can be a little timid at first, but once this girl feels safe her silly antics will shine through. She's regular riot to watch with squeaky toys! This soulful lady will be the very best therapist you will ever need. She has a unique ability to look into your eyes and know EXACTLY what you're feeling and what you need. Spoiler alert- it's cuddles! So, if you don't want a needy Nelly of a dog who worships the very air you breathe and follows you like your own personal shadow...then look elsewhere.
