Annabelle Miniature Schnauzer Littleton, CO

Annabelle is a pretty white Mini looking for a home! She is about 5 years old, and about 20 pounds. Annabelle grew up in a home with senior adults. One, then the other of the adults, was ill most of Annabelle’s life and both passed away in home hospice care. She did not get much socialization and was on Prozac when she came into rescue. While she still wants to be an only child, she is getting much better with people. She loves people attention, once she gets to know you, but she needs to learn to trust before she allows this, so a very patient, experienced, and understanding home is needed. She does not like to be picked up yet, and is very sensitive in her rear end area. She was in heat when she came to us, so that may have made her extra sensitive. She will likely need to be sedated to be groomed in the future. Our vet staff groomed her during her spay and dental surgery. We think Annabelle's best future will be in a quiet adult home with experienced dog owners.

Annabelle is spayed, she is up to date on her vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped.
