Meet Anna

Meet Anna! Anna was rescued from a puppy mill where she was being used as a breeder dog. Her birthday is estimated to be 12/20/2018 and she weighed 61 pounds on 12/20/23. Due to life in a puppy mill, Anna does not know what life is like as a normal dog. She will need to be trained in all areas. Anna is a flight risk so a plan must be in place to keep her safe in your home and yard. If she gets loose, she will run and be very difficult to catch. Apple Itags are a great way to add extra protection as you can snap it on her collar and always know where she is. She doesn't realize that people can be trusted quite yet so we always encourage adopters to take as many precautions as possible. With time and patience, we have seen dogs such as Anna blossom and it's a very rewarding experience. She tested positive for Lyme Disease which we do not treat for unless symptoms are present. At this time, she has no symptoms. As she gets accustomed to the new and much better normal, she will be a cherished family pet. Anna will do best as the only pet in the home. Apply today!

Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response.

The adoption fee is $100.00. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP.
