Anitra is approximately 2 years old, with a stocky 35 lb frame that seems just enough to support 5” of the cutest ears ever! A DNA test confirmed she’s a mix of Australian Cattle Dog and Tree Walking Coonhound with a little bit of Lab, Boxer and Collie in the mix. Whatever the combo, she is adorable!

Anitra is crate trained and housebroken. She loves to go on long walks around her foster's farm, but also loves playing with Analise (who the shelter expected may be her mother) and her 4 foster siblings. She clearly didn’t have many dog toys in her previous life though because she seems to think that socks and dirty laundry are ample substitutes, but her foster mom is working on teaching her what’s appropriate for chewing on.

Anitra has been coming out of her shell but is still very shy. Being with other dogs has helped build her confidence so we feel she would do best in a house with another dog or dogs. She does chase cats, so she'll probably do best in a home without cats. Because she is shy with new people, a house with no kids or older kids would be preferred. While not aggressive at all, she needs a family who can read her body language, know when she is scared and work on building her confidence and security.

Anitra is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Our $250 adoption fee covers these expenses.
