Meet Andy! He is approximately 5 years old and is around 70lbs. Andy is breaking out of his shell more and more every day and he's become quite the energizer bunny! A full day of play, especially if he's with other high-energy dogs, is the only thing he needs to be happy! He will always be up for a walk around the block or some outdoor playtime, but also appreciates a good nap on the couch or a comfy dog bed. Poor Andy was found as a stray and was dangerously skinny. After 8 months of TLC, he is healthy, has gained the appropriate amount of weight, and is ready to find a forever home! His Foster describes him as having a “clumsy personality - ditzy but sweet” which we think will put smiles on all of his new family members’ faces! Andy has been around dogs who are both smaller and larger than he is, and he has done very well with everyone. He’s great with kids and would be happy in a family! One of the funniest things Andy does is he will look at you and bark after he is done eating. Almost as if to thank you (or trying to ask for more - who knows!). He is excellent in a crate and enjoys sleeping in it overnight. His biggest request for his new home is for a fenced-in yard because of how much he loves lounging outside, rolling in the grass, and running around! A fence would allow him to do all three while not letting his Bloodhound nose lead him astray. Lastly, Andy will need a family with patience to potty train him, as he is used to living outside and will also put that Hound nose to use inside the home and will mark where he pleases. The hard work will pay off though, because he is just the sweetest boy! He can’t wait to meet you!
