Meet Anderson

We rescued ANDERSON and his sister HAZEL from one of our partner shelters who is out of space and having to euthanize and they've been here a couple of months now - they're both a year old and were very nervous in the shelter environment, but with the diligent work of volunteers there, they both have come out of their shells and opened up! All they really want is to be loved and know they're safe. Anderson is 40-45 lbs and his sister Hazel who looks similar but without the white on her face is 35-40. We'd call them a houndy labby shepherd mix of some sort, but they're both beautiful dogs who definitely have great potential with some patience and love.

Anderson needs a slow introduction and to meet new people on his terms and at his speed - and then he's been doing well. He's already come far in his foster's home in the last month already with patience and love. They both did well with kids the volunteers brought to the shelter to interact with the dogs, but we'd say no young kids because Anderson isn't a huge fan of unpredictability. They're fully vetted and looking for that special someone with patience in their heart to wait for all the love he has to give!

Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue.

We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
