My name is Ancestor and I’m a 3-year-old German Shepherd.

I’m getting over a rough time in my life and now I look forward to getting into a forever home. Unfortunately, my previous owner had some problems and I was left outside all summer at an apartment complex patio. My owner was being evicted and eventually ended up giving me up to the county.

My life began to turn around, however, when I was brought to the Saving Paws Rescue. I had dermatitis when I arrived, along with being extremely skinny and a little weak. The great folks here have treated my condition and I’m pretty much over it. They’ve also been feeding me well and helping me regain my strength and put on some weight.

They take me on regular walks. I love to get out and exercise. I also love to play ball.I’m very sweet and loving and enjoy being petted and getting affection. Although I’m a big dog, sometimes I think I’m a lap dog. So, if you have a big lap we will get along great.

Because I’ve have been a little selective in getting along with other dogs, I will need to work on my socialization. They say I may do okay in a home with older kids, rather than little ones. I’ve got plenty of love to give. So, if you could provide me with a forever home, I’ll be your BFF.
