Amora Pit Bull Terrier Mix Springfield, MO

They call me Amora, and my name means love—for good reason. My journey started as a lonely stray, wandering the neighborhood with a cautious heart and tired paws. No one could get close—not until love, patience, and a true neighborly rescue changed everything. I was first spotted in May 2024, skittish and unsure. But when the winter storms hit in January, I started to trust. One kind neighbor locked me safely in their garage, and that act of love saved my life. Since then, I’ve traded fear for belly rubs, cold nights for cozy naps, and silence for joyful zoomies around the yard. I am believed to be a 47 pound, 2 year old Pit Bull mix, and though I was once timid, I’ve transformed into a total goofball with high energy and a heart bursting with affection. I’m house and crate trained, working on my leash skills, and I do great with other dogs, cats, and older kids (just a heads up—I’m so excited to love you, I might knock tiny humans over with my tail-wagging enthusiasm!). A privacy fence is a must for me—I’m still learning the world is a safe place, and having a secure space to run and play helps me feel confident. What I really need now is a family to love me unconditionally, who will laugh at my silliness, support my continued growth, and let me be the wild, wonderful pup I’ve become. I’m living proof that love really does rescue, and I’m ready to give that love back tenfold. Are you ready to be my forever?

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
