Amber Golden Retriever & German Shepherd Dog Mix Cedar Rapids, IA

Amber is a sweet and friendly 11 year old Golden Retriever mix. She loves to go for walks and makes an excellent walking partner so get out your walking shoes. She gets so excited when you grab her leash! Amber is such a pretty girl and loves to be brushed. She would be happiest in a home where someone is home most of the time. She misses her person when they are gone. She likes to hang out on the couch with you so she would love to join you in some binge watching.

Amber is a very smart girl and learns quickly. She knows her basic obedience commands and our trainer continues to work with her to improve her skills. Amber needs a firm but fair handler.

At this time we feel that Amber would be best as the only pet in the home. She tends to bond strongly with one person in the home and has sometimes become protective, so we think she would thrive in a one person household.

We believe a 6 foot privacy fenced yard directly accessible from the home would be best for Amber.
