Hi there!!

My name is Alyssa which is derived from a beautiful flower called "alyssum". Imagine that, me named after a flower. I love flowers!

So I was found roaming the countryside. Every time a car would pass, I would chase it until I almost passed out. It was because someone dumped me, I'm sure. I just knew they were coming back for me after they realized they had left me behind, but no they never did. I was so sad every time a car passed and kept going.

Then, something great happened. A kind soul put me back in my yard...I was recognized and back home! But no, apparently I immediately jumped the fence and got back out. I don't know why I did that. Perhaps I really didn't like being with my original owners. They must not have ever given me any attention.

I ended up at Lucies, and boy howdy is it fun here!! Lots of volunteers take care of me and so many nice doggie friends here to play with!

I'm a really sweet girl and crave attention. That's why I need a family of my own. The volunteers here are awesome, but I need a family that can give all (or most ;) ) of their attention to me. I'm happy and energetic, and would be a great companion for an active family.

Oh, and I'm leash and crate trained, Yay!!!
