This little MOPAR litter wants to race to their new families and take home a checkered flag.

With a guesstimated birthday of March 16, 2023, mama weighs 22 lb so her pups should be similar in size. We've included a picture of Mama Mu.

At his most recent weigh-in on July 19th, Alpha weighed 15.8 lb.

Each pup is snuggly and sweet. They love to play and don't mind the big dogs in their foster pack. They ignore the cats and try to keep their crate clean overnight. They need to go out as soon as someone is awake, though! If kept on a regular schedule of 1 hour, they successfully eliminate outside.

Alpha's nickname is Houdini (Hootie). He tries to get out of the kitchen and into mischief in the living room. He loves tucking his head into his foster dad's neck or sitting at his foster mom's feet (usually when she's working in the kitchen :).

Hootie's foster has confirmed with the vet that he is deaf. He'll need a home with a family that can adapt to his needs. He won't be able to roam a yard unless a system can be devised that doesn't depend on auditory input to call him back to his people. His foster is using a flashlight to get his attention and a hand-signal to call him to her. This works when he isn't otherwise distracted.

Whether dogs / puppies come in as strays or owner surrenders, we usually have to make our best guess as to birthdate and breed.

If adopted into a home with other animals, particularly cats, your new pet should be crated or secured when you're not available to supervise to insure a harmonious relationship.

A vet reference is required to confirm responsible pet ownership. Requirement is a minimum three year vet history documenting current / previous pets are spayed / neutered, kept up to date on core vaccinations, and on heartworm prevention. We suggest first time pet owners without a vet history look for an adult dog for companionship and to gain experience. Other rescues or your local government-run animal control agency may have different adoption requirements.

Adoption fee covers two vaccinations. Additional fees for 3rd puppy vaccination, refundable spay/neuter deposit, etc. may apply.

We are an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue. We receive no funding from agencies.

Not all foster dogs are available for viewing during public events, held most Saturdays at Tractor Supply (360 Blowing Rock Blvd) in Lenoir, NC from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. We recommend interested parties contact us to pre-qualify for adoption so their new furry family can go home once paperwork is complete.
