Meet Allie AC
Even though the volunteer said she isn't going to sugar-coat any of my undesirable behavior traits, I'm wondering if she could instead bacon-coat them, then I'll gobble them up and no one will know. Sounds like a plan!
I'm looking for a family that wouldn't mind having me as their numero uno dog. I'm not a fan of being around other dogs, so I'm looking for an experienced dog parent. My current Foster Mommy is working on getting me to find her own dogs tolerable. I'll tolerate them from a respectable distance but if they get too close, I grrrrr them. Grrrrrr means, “back up Jack” in dog speak.
I'm not a total dog hater though, Foster Mommy recently witnessed me playing with the 6 month old Lab puppy that lives here. So I am fully capable of getting along with other dogs with patience and proper intros. I am not for the novice dog owner or someone who just wants a German Shepherd because we are the prettiest breed in the world. Hands down. I mean paws down.
Now onto the good girl personality traits that we don’t have to coat in sugar or bacon for that matter, but we could right? Bacon. Yum. I'm a potty and crate trained 4 year old, 50 pound, purely German Shepherd Dog. I make up for my lack of dog on dog social skills by being overly loving and VERY sweet towards people.
I LOVE (all caps for emfursis) love to cuddle. I'll be your Mary's little lamb and follow you around the house everywhere. If you go into a room, say the one that contains the toilet, I'll sit outside your door to wait for you to come out in case you need moral support while you’re in there.
I listen and obey really well. I think I would make a great companion dog for a cuddle worthy human. I'm very active, and love to go on walks and runs on a leash, I'm fairly good on a leash. We could play with balls, you could rub my belly, and gimme all your food. You know, the basics.
Just keep in mind I will take some work and patience as I learn to be tolerant of other dogs, but I'm ready to learn if you are ready to teach me. I have made progress at my Foster House and it would be a dern shame to not continue my schooling and development. Are you up for the challenge and for some cuddles?
