Aliza Labrador Retriever Mix Cumming, GA

Meet Aliza! She is a 2 year old chocolate lab. Playing fetch with her human is her love language. She would love a fenced in yard to play in.

Despite having tons of energy for play, she is gentle with kids and knows how to relax when it’s time for that. She gets along fine with other dogs but is mostly indifferent to them. She knows all of her basic commands very well including sit, down, come, and drop it and walks well on a leash. She would make a great family dog for an active person, couple, or family who has the time and attention to give her that she deserves. She is a beautiful girl with some lbs to gain. She came to us underweight, with pneumonia and is heartworm positive (which thankfully is completely treatable). With her antibiotics and extra helpings of food she is feeling much better but she will need to continue with treatment for the next few months. Therefore we are seeking a foster to adopt home, as Hero will cover the cost of her heartworm treatments until completed.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
