Meet Alice
Alice is a 5-7 year old Doxie/Terrier mix. She weighs 20 lbs. She was rescued from a bad situation in a neighboring county, and has been at SCHS since November. Alice is very shy at first, but is a very loving girl once she is used to you. When we received her, she had two wounds to her cheek area. Alice has seen two vets, and been on multiple medications, but the wounds have never totally healed. It is nothing contagious to other animals, nor does it seem to bother her. Her cheeks just need wiped with a wet cloth. Alice is not very fond of other dogs, and is a bit too curious of cats. She is sponsored by HRI Plumbing, which means her adoption is free with an approved application. Alice would love a quiet home where she is the center of attention.
All dogs up for adoption are spayed or neutered and are heart-worm tested and will be up-to-date on Distemper/Parvo, Kennel Cough and Rabies vaccinations. We also treat for worms and ear mites as well as flea and tick preventative. An adoption donation of $165.00 covers a small portion of getting the dogs and puppies ready for adoption.
We welcome visitors Tuesday evenings 4-7 p.m. Saturday mornings 9 a.m. to noon. Sundays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. You may also schedule an appointment at a time that is more convenient for your schedule. Call 217-322-2220 if you have any questions or concerns.
Applications are available online at https://schuylerhs.com/adopt/application/
