Alfie's Story
Alfie comes into rescue with a past not suitable for a dog as he was rescued from a hoarding situation. Alfie has limited exposure to life on the outside as he has been on the inside looking out. Moving forward, Alfie is not looking back. He will need to be placed in a home with a male adopter.Alfie is a one-year-old Havanese mix weighing around 15 pounds. He has made progress in adjusting to life with the help of some tender loving care. He will need time to adjust with new people and new surroundings. He is making strides in learning what it is like to be well loved and cared for. He is good with other dogs, but it is not known if he has been around cats since he has had no exposure since coming into rescue. His house, crate and leash training are all underway. He will need a patience and consistency in training to help Alfie every step of the way. This little sweetheart deserves a family that will love and care for him for the rest of his days. His second chance is out there. Are you the family Alfie has been looking for?* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Alfie is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees.
