RESCUE STORY - I was found on the Toluca-Mexico Highway, a very dangerous place for a little gal like me to be roaming around with all the cars speeding by! Luckily, I was rescued and taken to safety at the La Casa del Mestizo shelter where I received tip top care. I am safe and sound at the shelter, but I long to find my forever home where I can have all the love and attention I deserve!

TEMPERAMENT - I am a loving, playful pup who is always ready to make new friends and have some FUN! I don't know if you noticed, but I'm also SUPER DANG CUTE! My rescuers say I am social and full of joy, and also oh-so sweet! I love being around other dogs and really enjoy playing with people (even kiddos!). I am a happy-go-lucky gal who enjoys walks, trips to the park (video), chasing balls, and playing with plush toys (bonus if it's a squeaky one!). I really enjoy trips to the park where I can socialize, sniff, and zoom around (video). I am very intelligent and obedient, making me a prime candidate for some great obedience training. Fun fact, I love eating carrots and apples (the crunchier the better!)

ENERGY LEVEL - Medium - I am a playful, young pup who needs a sufficient amount of daily exercise (both physical and mental). Once I'm tuckered out, I am more than happy to snooze and cuddle!

GETS ALONG WITH:

same with ALL dogs, I should be supervised around children. My humans need to advocate for my space and make sure I'm respected :)


Dogs Yup! I get along well with the other dogs at the shelter and love to play and wrestle (video). I hold my own, even with the bigger doggos!
Cats unknown.


PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I'm not too sure how I'll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc., so my adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.

TRAINING:


Leash skills Work in progress. (Video coming soon) I'm looking for an adopter who will show me the ropes and teach me how to be a superstar on leash. A well-fitted harness and some dedicated leash training will help me be successful!
House trained Work in progress. Frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will help me learn housetraining in my new home :)

HEALTH NOTES:


I am spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I will come to Canada with proof of all my vaccines and test records.
I will be tested for Heartworm etc. before flying North.


NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter.

ADOPTION FEE:



My adoption fee is $840.00 CAD (including 5% GST & 7% PST), which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver.
