Alex has been enjoying the extra love and cuddles from his foster family! His foster family includes two teenage children and three dogs. Alex is great with older children (he hasn’t been around small children yet). He does great when their friends or other visitors visit.
He is so happy to have furry companionship and is very friendly and playful with all 3 of his foster siblings. His foster friends vary in size, age, and temperament which shows he is indifferent to different physical appearances and personality types.
This dog will make you smile inside and out! Alex has the most adorable forehead wrinkles and prances with his front paws when he gets excited! He is inquisitive, but will never wander far from your side. He is easy going, but is always aware of where you’re going. He has a nose for dinner time and loves treat. He knows sit and practices patience if you ask him to wait in sit position. He loves a good ear massage and belly scratches are a favorite.
Around the house, he easily settles in and has been super easy to train. He is so smart! One thing he does like not are the stairs to the basement (maybe he was kept in a basement previously or something happened involving stairs). But, he does great with baths. He isn’t worked up or worried by much of anything: vacuum, leaf blower, door knocking, etc. He is not a barker, he does not jump, and has not been destructive to any household items. He recognizes what his toys/bones are and uses them.
Truly a one of a kind dog who will be a loyal friend to the end for that right human companion who is looking for a smart, sweet, and stable dog.
(If we didn’t have 3 dogs of our own and have sworn to foster only, we would most definitely adopt this pup as one of our own!)
