Alani's Story
Meet Alani

Alani is a 4-year-old, 43 lbs. German Shepherd mix. She hails from Texas originally, rescued by Mutts n Such Rescue, but has been living her best life in Chicago for the last 6 months. She’s a love bug with her people. She wants to be close at all times, following you around the house, snuggling with you on the couch and sleeping near you at night. She loves to play ball and is high energy so would do best in a home with a large, fenced backyard, where she can fetch to her heart’s content.

Alani loves her people (and toys) so much that a home where she is the center of attention is best. She knows basic commands. Alani comes when called, sits on command, and walks fairly well on a leash. She pulls a little, but consistent training should resolve this. Like many rescues, Alani has separation anxiety. She wants to be with her people at all times. It will take a couple weeks for her to settle into her new environment. She also has a high prey drive and can be overprotective of her people, so she’ll need to be on a leash when in public areas for her safety and the safety of those around her.

Alani is heartworm positive and is currently undergoing treatment. This treatment is covered covered by Mutts N Such Rescue and requires minimal effort on the adopting family.

Alani is a beautiful, sweet and loyal pup, seeking someone’s unconditional love, guidance and time. The biggest reward is when you see her panting happy face from catching a ball. It makes it all worth it. Alani is being fostered in Chicago, IL.

Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.
