Stop! Bama time! I dance to the beat of my own drum but I would really love to have a life long dance partner. My name is Alabama, but all the cool kids call me Bama. I am a 62lb., 5 year old, male, chow/hound/awesome sauce mix. I am looking for an extremely dog savvy person or couple to call me theirs! Like all amazing things, I'm not for the faint of heart. I'm the sweetest, most lovable boy ever, but I've got a lot of fear. The first year of my life wasn't all sunshine and roses and I've worked very hard to learn not everyone will hurt me. I adore my people, but I need them to be super strong alphas. I am very vocal when I'm scared or excited, but when I'm at home just chillin' with my people, I'm total a love bug. I also promise to always let you know when the mail arrives. I am house trained, crate trained, know basic commands, and walk well on a leash. I've never met a treat I didn't love. I am a very VERY smart boy. I need structure and routine in order to thrive. I would do best in a home with a 6ft privacy fenced yard (no apartments for me). I do not want to live with any children or cats. I get along with dogs after a few proper introductions, but I would be happiest as your one and only. I need a strong, confident, loving, calm home without a lot of commotion. They say the eyes are windows into the soul and anyone can tell after checking out my puppy-dog dreamboat eyes that I'm a darling underneath a tough guy exterior. I do enjoy taking relaxing walks through the park and romping around the backyard playing with my friend. I am a strong, full-of-life guy who needs someone full of dog training skills, patience, understanding, and love. I want to feel safe and just relax in my forever home, but for that to happen, my forever best friend needs to be a true pack leader. I cannot wait to find my amazing forever person!
