Akala is a young Saluki (GSD? Husky?) mix from Qatar, and SHUG volunteers who have met this girl have completely fallen in love with this darling tripod. (One of her foster moms claims that "whoever adopts her will get a girlfriend for life.") This beauty gets along with children, other dogs, and cats.

Akala is currently fostered in the Washington DC area, but is available for adoption throughout the US and Canada. Her adoption fee is $650, which covers her travel expenses, spaying and other veterinary care.
