Ahi Maltese Toronto, ON

** Note: Ahi is currently in Korea but we are looking for his home in Toronto. His flight from Korea to Toronto is scheduled for June 16.

Background: Ahi was rescued from a puppy mill in Namyangju, Korea earlier this month. He lived in a confined, dirty cage where no light penetrated. Enduring a life of darkness and forced breeding for profit, Ahi’s journey is one of resilience and hope.

Personality and Socialization: Ahi is a playful and sociable dog who loves being around people. He has lots of energy and enjoys snuggling and getting pets. He's comfortable with men and women but hasn't been around young children or cats much. Ahi is smart and learns things quickly. His favorite thing is hanging out with humans.

Behaviors: Ahi is still in the process of learning to use pee-pads and is making progress. While he is getting accustomed to walking on a leash and doesn't have much experience yet, he enjoys playing outside and relaxing. Ahi is fond of toys, doesn't mind baths or grooming, and is comfortable with car rides.

Health: Ahi completed his checkups and is healthy for his forever home. Vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, he receives monthly parasite preventatives.

Ideal Home: A perfect fit for Ahi would be someone who either works from home or is enjoying retirement, offering plenty of dedicated time to their beloved furry friend. Patience is essential as Ahi adjusts to his new environment, yet the affection and devotion he gives back are truly invaluable.
