Meet Aggie 2

We cover Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Wisconsin and transportation is available for adoptions within those states. Aggie is currently in NE with her foster family.

Aggie is our gorgeous, 10 year old long-haired Rottie. She and her Foster family have been putting in a lot of work over these past few months and it sure has paid off!

Aggie is a big sweetheart and just LOVES to love on you! She is content to cuddle on the couch with you all day or join you for a car ride. Shes very playful for her age, loves squeaky toys and will never turn down a game of tug-o-war!

She loves every human she meets but is dog selective. Her Fosters tell us she needs to wear a muzzle when they know they will meet new dogs. Aggie has done well with muzzle training and has come a long way with her interactions with other dogs. While she still shows some aggression, her Foster Mom tells us shes not reacting to her resident dogs on walks and playtime anymore! Weve also received great videos of her playing fetch beside another dog and showing off the spring she still has in her step!

Aggie has a high prey drive and like most dogs, likes chasing rabbits so her Fosters have been using a gentle leader to help keep her under control on walks. She still gets stubborn on walks where if shes tired or doesnt feel like walking, she will plant herself down and treats only work half the time. Her fosters have had to pull her on to get her moving back home so short walks are best for her. She knows sit, drop it, down and wait. Aggie also loves her crate, sometimes she will choose to lay in there during the day to give herself quiet time. She does not resource guard with her humans but has not been tested around the resident dogs since they feed them separately.

Her Foster says she is a huge cuddler and she loves giving and receiving full-body snuggles. She is a sweet and beautiful girl who will do best in a low-key home as the only pet. We would love to find her a forever home where she can cuddle her Humans for the rest of her years!
