"Adora lives up to her name and is a pawsitively adorable little pup. She looks like a little bear cub so we call her Little Bear a lot. She is so sweet and friendly and immediately adjusted to life in our crazy home without batting an eye. She enjoys playing in the backyard with the other dogs but I think her favorite thing to do is follow me all over the house. She is definitely a people dog and loves being close to the person she is attached to ??

I watched people pass by my kennel every day. I watched other dogs get adopted while I patiently waited for someone to choose me. I was not bouncing around like some other dogs. I was calm, cool, and collected. I also wasn't in the corner and hiding. I was patiently waiting at the door...hoping that someone would choose me. Before I knew it, quite a bit of time had passed and still no one had chosen me. I was starting to feel a little defeated when suddenly a shelter staff showed up at my door. As it turns out, a foster family with this rescue had stepped up for me and I was being bailed out of doggie jail! I ended up going on a freedom ride with a very nice lady, and soon ended up in my foster home!
I was named Adora and I must say that it feels nice to have a name again. I am estimated to be around 6 months old and weigh around 30 lbs. We are guessing that I am a Shepherd/Lab mix. I don't believe that I am going to get too much bigger either...maybe the 40-50lb range? So, if anyone is looking for a cute and cuddly bear that is on the smaller side....I am your girl! ?
I am a very sweet-natured girl and am good with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. I will lightly engage in play with the other dogs, but I am not crazy about it. I enjoy their companionship but also feel like I would also be just as happy as an only dog if my family were home a lot. I am friendly with everyone I meet but also a bit reserved. Once I get to know you I do sometimes jump out with excitement. I do really well when meeting new dogs and am calm and friendly.
As far as road trips car, I do ride well in the car. I have not been to any public outings yet. I am a very friendly girl though and often take my cues from my owner so as long as I was with my person..I do believe I would do well-going places with them. I have not been on a walk yet, but I do tend to stay close to my people and believe I would do very well on them. I am not an energetic dog, but I do think I would enjoy going on hikes. I very much enjoy spending time with my people. As long as I am with my people, I believe I would be happy as either a homebody or going places with my new family.
I have not shown interest in playing fetch, but I do like chewing on nylabone sticks. I have not had the chance to play in any water so am unsure if I am a water dog or not. Overall, I am a pretty laid-back and chill girl.
I am a pretty quiet girl so do believe that I would be a candidate for apartment living. I do seem to be potty trained and will whine when I need to go out. I will kennel if needd, but it is not my favorite thing. I have not been a big chewer in my foster home. I have not been a big barker but will communicate with you through whines sometimes.
If you do feel like I am the girl for you, could you do me a favor and make sure that I am your FUREVER girl? I really don't want to have to be passed around down the road yet again because I was only your UNTIL dog...

I am currently being fostered in Skiatook, OK. If you have fallen in love with me and are out of state, how about a road trip? I am not interested in being sent on a long transport by myself, so the only way I am relocating to another state is if we are in that car together! ?
My adoption fee is $250.
That will include my DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
