Meet Admiral

Age: 1
Color: Tricolor (Primarily Black & White)
Neutered/Spayed: Yes
Microchipped: Yes
Good with cats: Has not been around cats
Good with Dogs: Yes. He's an angel when there is no food present.
Good with Children: Yes. Has not been around kids extensively. He has done fine meeting kids on walks and is so laid back I don't think it would be a problem, but maybe some getting used to.
House Trained: Yes
Crate Trained: Yes, can take it or leave it
Leash Trained: Yes
Fence Requirements: Ok for invisible fence and playing in dogs parks and daily walks and other outdoor activities
Hunting Requirements: NOT a hunter, cannot be a hunting companion
Energy level: Laid Back
Any known Abuse in the past: He flinches sometimes when being pet so it would not surprise me if there was some history there, but we do not know of anything.
Any resource guarding issues: Yes, only food with other dogs.
Any Anxiety (Separation, nervous energy): No

Foster comments: He loves to cuddle and will lay in bed/on the couch with you for hours. He seems to have a good concept of what are the "cuddle chairs" and the "non-cuddle chairs," as he is mostly independent when I am working, but when I go to bed or to watch TV, he is all over me.
He is "well-behaved, but not obedient." Does not really know any commands-- I have tried to train him but he is not treat motivated. He never does anything mischievous though.
He snores pretty loudly sometimes, but generally sleeps pretty soundly through the night. If you are a deep sleeper it wouldn't bother you. He sprawls out on his back wherever we are-- whether we're at home, taking a break on a walk, out at a brewery, etc., if you leave him for a minute, he will make himself comfortable. Likes birds, rabbits, frogs, etc., but does not chase. He just freezes up and gets into staring contests with them. He walks with a J Leash the whole time.

Transport
We will do our best to set up a volunteer transport for your adopted/foster dog to within 2 hrs of your location. If you want to transport your dog by air, you must make arrangements yourself.
