Meet Addie

Please read entire posting for information on our new procedures. We are currently requiring appointments for all adoptions. Please give us a call if you questions about a pet or complete an application at https://adoptmountainpets.org/pet-services/adoption-process/application-form to make arrangements to visit the Animal Resource Center.

Meet Addie! Addie is a 1 year old German Shepherd looking for her forever home. Addie has a lot of energy and will need a family with the same. Addie's definition of a perfect day is hiking and running for hours without end. She loves play fetch, go in the water, and adores people! We are told Addie is a trained service dog who understands German. She will need a family that has the time and patience to teach her more English or for them to learn German.

The shelter environment has been very stressful for Addie, so her training will need to be refreshed. We have not had the opportunity to introduce her to other dogs or cats. We believe Addie may do best as an only dog. For more questions regarding Addie please call the shelter at 970-626-2273

Adopters will be considered on the totality of the application and how it matches the particular pet's needs.

Most dogs who come from the shelter will not be house trained.

We do not know or make guarantees that a dog or cat will do well with all children, other animals or is house-trained.

We will need to talk to all of the adults in the home prior to making an appointment to visit with a pet.

In most cases its necessary to to have family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them for a meeting.

All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.

Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.
