Adak Great Pyrenees St. Clair, MO

We rescued handsome Adak from a shelter as he was a stray that no one claimed. Sweet, affectionate Adak is a smart boy, who knows some basic commands. This may have something to do with being very treat motivated! Adak loves attention and will come over just to be petted. And if you sit or lie down on the floor he will be right next to you. Adak is VERY playful and loves to play with the resident Pyr and takes time for some good naps. He is a little reserved upon first meeting a new person until we let him know that person is okay. After he warms up, he will soak up all the pets and attention. Adak LOVES other dogs and would be very happy to have a playmate in his furever home. We have not seen him around cats, but imagine he would be fine as he is a very gentle boy. Adak is crate trained and rides great in the car. He walks pretty well on a leash until he sees another dog or a squirrel and then he does pull some.

Adak, named after a city and island in Alaska, is about a year old so he still has some filling out to do! Adak weighs 71 lbs, is neutered, up to date on core vaccines and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

Adoption Requirements
*A minimum 5 ft fence
*A home visit
*A vet check with at least a two year vet history

Adopters can be located in Missouri and surrounding states: Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. We are able to help transport to those states. Other states will be considered if you are willing to travel.
